In 2016, the Government of Alberta undertook a review of expiring regulations including several auto insurance regulations; the industry took part in the consultation process. Industry recommendations focused on making changes that addressed the rising bodily injury claims costs and prejudgment interest costs, both which contribute to the overall cost of insurance.

Join Bill Adam, Western Vice President, Insurance Bureau of Canada, and IBAA President Gerry Baert in this online discussion of what is contributing to this situation so you can explain it to those customers who may see their auto insurance premiums increase. Also find out how you, as a broker, can get involved to ensure auto insurance premiums remain affordable for Albertans.
