Sherif Gemayel (facilitator)

Sherif has been disrupting the insurance brokerage industry since he first opened Sharp Insurance in 2009. Through strategic use of digital marketing combined with the development of new technologies targeted toward omni-channel servicing, Sharp Insurance to be one of the fastest-growing brokerages in Western Canada. In 2017, Sherif launched Trufla Technology, a software and digital marketing company, geared toward helping other brokerages modernize their marketing and business models. Active in the insurance community, Sherif currently sits on the IBAA board, the Aviva President’s Club, and Intact’s Broker Council. Winner of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 and the Business Calgary Leaders Award, and a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Sherif continues his mission to improve and transform the insurance brokerage industry in Canada. Sharp Mobile Technology (predecessor or Trufla Technology) also won the 2017 IBAA Hackathon for an interactive chat robot that draws on insurer manuals to answer questions for brokers and text a pink card to clients.
