Choose from year-round self-study, year-round online study, live online classes, immersion classes, or (occasionally available) evening classes.

To find your CE certificate once the class is finished, log into your IBAA profile and go to Content & Features > Professional Development. Under the Certification/Program drop-down, select "Alberta Continuing Education Hours" and apply the filter.

Textbook-Only Self-Study

Begin the self-study course at any time: ideal for those who have strong study habits, are self-directed, and want to work at their own pace.

Registration is open year round and includes the newly redesigned IBAA Textbook and complete Study Guide(both shipped by courier). For Continuing Education (CE) credits, register for self-study, rather than just purchase the textbook (same cost). Download your passing grade from the AIC website and send it to Rob Barnes (rbarnes@ibaa.ca).

Member $250 / Non-Member $400 (prices include shipping and GST)

Online Self-Study Course

Due to the change in exam our online study option is currently being re-evaluated. We intend to launch a process to match the modern updates to the improved text material. Keep an eye out for future updates.

Live Online Course

Spaced over two months, these live online classes allow you to take a couple hours off work twice a week at lunch time to get the training you need.

Registration includes the IBAC textbook, IBAA's Level 2 Supplement (both shipped by courier), and quizzes that help you prepare for the AIC exam.

A passing grade on the AIC exam or a minimum of 75% attendance entitles you to CE credits. If you do not qualify through attendance, download your passing grade from the AIC website and send it to Rob Barnes (rbarnes@ibaa.ca).

Member $700 / Non-Member $1000 (prices include shipping and GST)

Immersion Courses

These classroom courses—expanded from four to five days—appeal to those who need to focus on the subject at hand without distractions and appreciate the guidance of peers and an instructor.

Registration includes the newly updated IBAA Textbook and Study Guide(both shipped by courier), in-class instruction, additional study notes, practice quizzes, and a practice exam.

A passing grade on the AIC exam or a minimum of 75% attendance entitles you to CE credits. If you do not qualify through attendance, download your passing grade from the AIC website and send it to Rob Barnes (rbarnes@ibaa.ca).
